Hi All Before we vote on this can we please have a vote on whether stats be raised above normal racial maximums or not. The reason being if you keep the racial maximums but eliminate the +5 limit you end up with all older characters with maximum stats for their race. That is everyone becomes the same. Some of us might vote against the proposal below to prevent that happening (I certainly will). However, if stats can go above racial limits then the proposal below becomes viable. In commitee term I propose the following amendments to Stephens proposal 1 That Characteristics be permitted to be raised above normal racial limits by the expendature of twice the experience that would normally be required. 2 That the multiplier described in the proposal be altered from 2500 to 5000 cheers Bart > > 1. I agree with the concept but not with the actual implementation. I would prefer to see a flat EP rate used to buy the first five points then have the multiplier apply after that i.e. 1st = x 2nd = x 3rd = x 4th = x 5th = x 6th = 2x 7th = 3x 8th = 4x etc where x is the multiplier for the appropriate stat. This allows beginning characters to 'finetune' their stat points as they learn the game mechanics so they can fix any initial problems. Also, when I rolled up a character with a high stat value of 22, it was suggested at that time that I don't allocate the full 22 points to a stat, instead hold the stat at 20 as it was possible to easily buy up the five points to reach racial maximum (the character was human). That will cost me 25000ep. Under this scheme (with the multipler set at 2500), the cost will be 37500ep. With a 5000 multipler the total is 75000ep.
