No Mortimer, "sic" is what we philosophers term an editorial comment. It means what was first mentioned a mistake, & everyone reading it knows its a mistake, but -- somehow -- that's what happened. The mistake has been allowed to stand, usually because Primus: Philosophers are obsessed with all the various forms of Truth, or Secundus: it's funnier that way. Reply-To: dq@dq.sf.org.nz It seems reasonable (and a reasonable limitation) that you must have some sort of link to the Spirit of an entity in order to resurrect them. Normally this is their body. In the case of resurrecting into another body, the chance of resurrection should be based on the strength of the link to the Spirit. The base chance would be based on how much/many of the following you have: - the original body, or part(s) - their ITN - being in the place they died - their Ghost/Revenant - their Spirit as supplied by their Demon/Angel/God... - magical link to their spirit (probably something stronger than a Binder Linking Life Force) - loving family members - resurrecting into the body of a loving family member, killer/hated enemy, etc.. I don't think that we should codify this into percentages, but we should supply a list like this as a guideline for GMs/players. And if and when the situation comes up the GM decides the chance based on how many of these links are available and BDE. Another rule/guideline that we should put in is that a Spirit will always resurrect into its own body by preference. i.e. If it is possible to be resurrected into its own body then it won't go into another. Thus while you could arrange for someone to kill you and dismember your body so that it wasn't resurrectable then resurrect you into a new body, there is no going back and you should be very sure that you trust the killer/healer.
