Yep, GMs vary. Many have moderately strongly held views on this. We could
make the rules say one thing or the other, and I doubt how it gets played in
practice would change much.

Cheers

For me natural armour comes of all blows.

I can certainly see an argument for that (being what
the rules say and all). However I also see the
argument that natural armour covers more surface area
than artificial armour and therefore deserves special
benefit. Logically, I would tend towards the latter.

Just my 2c,

Lev

For me it depends on the critter. Coo-beasties and wicked wulfs, no. The
big D's, yes. Others get something in between.

Sorry everyone I did not intend to re-start this debate. I was trying to
track down Mandos to run a Balrog design past him and hit send by mistake.

However for the record I play Natural armour as working against endurance
and ftg but not specs. My rational - 4 or 6pts is not a lot of armour for a
non armour wearing beast so it must have other benefits (ie 4 or 6 pts
against really nasty blows). Why not specs? Because once the sword gets
past the 4pts of endurance armour the additional spec damage is a result of
it waving around inside your ribcage.
