Reply-To: dq@dq.sf.org.nz I am "tidying" the bestiary and have two queries concerning Elemental's FT&EN. One: all bestiary elementals have FT 10-85, EN 5-50. This is equivalent to 15+6/Rk combined. Different colleges allow different ranges for their elementals: Fire 15+15/Rk combined Ice 15+6/Rk combined Earth 15+5/Rk combined Water 15+15/Rk combined Air No mention of EN or FT. Should we change all these spells & Rituals to 15+6/Rk, to keep them in line with each other and the bestiary, or should we change the bestiary? (I want to make the rituals the same). Two: can we change the combined EN & FT to being fixed, rather than variable? eg; Fire FT 10 + 10/Rk, EN 5 + 5/Rk rather than 15 (FT+EN) + 15/Rk Ice FT 10 + 4/Rk, EN 5 + 2/Rk (this would change the bestiary range from FT 10-85, EN 5-50 to FT 10-90, EN 5-45) Andrew -- see unsubscribe instructions in message headers -- From owner-dq@dq.sf.org.nz Mon Apr 5 03:46:00 1999 Received: (from bin@localhost) by mail.sf.org.nz (8.8.6/NZSFI-19980830) id DAA09621; Mon, 5 Apr 1999 03:46:00 +1200 Received: from smtp2.ihug.co.nz (tk2.ihug.co.nz [203.29.160.14]) by mail.sf.org.nz (8.8.6/NZSFI-19980830) with ESMTP id DAA09618 for ; Mon, 5 Apr 1999 03:46:00 +1200 Received: from jimarona.ihug.co.nz (p5-max40.akl.ihug.co.nz [203.109.228.197]) by smtp2.ihug.co.nz (8.8.8/8.8.8) with ESMTP id PAA16538 for ; Mon, 5 Apr 1999 15:33:35 +1200 Message-Id: <199904050333.PAA16538@smtp2.ihug.co.nz> Subject: Re: Elementals EN & FT Date: Mon, 5 Apr 1999 15:31:24 +1200 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Priority: 3 X-Mailer: Microsoft Internet Mail 4.70.1155 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit From: "Jim Arona" To: dq@dq.sf.org.nz Sender: owner-dq@dq.sf.org.nz Errors-To: owner-dq@dq.sf.org.nz X-Loop: dq@dq.sf.org.nz X-Requests: To unsubscribe from this list, or change your subscription address, send a message to dq-request@dq.sf.org.nz. Reply-To: dq@dq.sf.org.nz My preference would be that each of the elementals would have different EN and FT values, representative of their various elements. Earth would have the greatest EN, while Air or Fire would have the least. Being quick-moving creatures, Fire and Air elementals would have the most FT... As for simplifying the elemental procedure, I'm rather keen on it. I don't like the way players can summon an elemental with 5 EN and heaps of FT, and vice versa. I understand that some otherwise reasonable demons will get upset if you are a guild member. Notes like "Chariot in Baretskine castle" add a certain something too.
