Much as I like imperial measurements, and would dearly love to inflict hogsheads, gills, rod, chains, perches, and different flavours of pound upon the unsuspecting DQ players, there appears to be a certain pressure towards simplicity. As I recall, most of the equipment is in pounds, or halves and quarters... the prime exception being herbs and spices which are in tenths. This was originally because I was pretty sure very few people knew their 16 times table.
