Reply-To: m.parkinson@auckland.ac.nz, dq@dq.sf.org.nz Sorry, I got my dates wrong: My adventure will NOT be to take short persons on a surprise orc-bash. Instead: Father Bob, the Namer, will attending a state funeral later this season in Destiny --*exact* date not yet known-- and wants to visit St Charles (in disguise) and wait for an illusionist friend to turn up; and then to take this friend to the aforesaid shindig at Destiny. Fr Bob therefore requires a mercenary bodyguard to stop nasty Destinians from killing the ally (nice Destinians won't want to). Party must devious & ingenious [e.g., capable of maintaining cover], yet fundamentally honest -- i.e., will not betray the ally to nasty Destinians who, frankly, can afford to pay more than Fr Bob. Amazingly enough, recent contact with guildmembers (and information from the yet-unnamed ally) have persuaded Fr Bob that the Guild does have indeed have such honest rogues as would be suitable. Level: medium, with at least one superb swordsman. Michael Parkinson Mathematics & Statistics Subject Librarian Science Library, University of Auckland, Private Bag 92019, AUCKLAND, N.Z.
