Reply-To: dq-pub@dq.sf.org.nz Update #4 26th Snow: Around noon, a moderately serious earthquake is felt along the Alusian coast. Houses shake and some weaker buildings collapse. The ground heaves and crevasses tear open. Livestock and people panic. Diverse Alarums. The quake is stronger at the coast than inland and rangers, philosophers... and really anyone who thinks about it can deduce that the center of the quake is far out to sea in the Western Ocean. Late that afternoon a huge swell races into Confederation Bay and 20 foot waves pound the coast. Docks are damaged and beached boats swept out to sea or broken on the shore. Some low lying areas get flooded... the waves are a disaster in the sea level Ffenargh swamp and achieve some civic improvements in Sanctuary. The stormy waves continue into the night and in the morning the waters recede leaving many dead fish on the shores. Some are strange monsters the like of which mortals have never before seen. People set about cleaning up the mess, and a chill wind blows onto the Alusian coast for several days.... -- Note: This is the final message in a series covering some events occurring this session. The specific intent of these messages is to keep players who are not playing this session -- and PCs who are at home -- up to date with certain happenings. If you are not playing (or have an interested PC at home), and would like to interact with these events in some way (or want extra information), I am happy to act as an e-GM for this. Please note: If you are playing this session then your GM's events and timelines automatically (and completely, etc.) over-ride any of this event information with respect to that character.
