Sometime in the last two years, the Gods decided to grant an automatic and additional opportunity to Recover From Stun at the end of the pulse. This means that stunned characters are able to attempt to recover as their normal Action AND at the end of the
pulse.
\par The consequent change to the rulebook however, removed reference to the normal Action, and only left the new ADDITIONAL end of pulse opportunity. The current rules therefore do not reflect the decision of the Gods, nor how Stun Recovery is played.
\par The proposed changes to the RULEBOOK are just that, a change to the printed material rather than a substantive change to how the game is played.
\par An INCREASE IN ACCESSIBILITY of the rules on stunning is achieved by expanding the bit on stunning in }{\b Damage.}{ ALL
IMPACTS of being stunned ARE now LISTED IN ONE PLACE , so that new players, and the simply confused, may refer to one section. For completeness, the rules also remain in the other appropriate sections (IE I am not proposing to remove references to stun,
as that would make the rules harder to apply).

each stage of the combat sequence, rather than letting the reader make assumptions or forcing them to make deductions. Where a choice had to be made, playability and readability were preferred, whilst maintaining the current rules. Sometimes the results
\lquote don\rquote t feel quite right\rquote , but as stunning isn\rquote t exactly a well known \lquote real world\rquote effect, I feel it is the best approach.
\par I note that GMs often make minor adjustments in currently vague areas, and no-one generally minds, so long as they are internally consistent, and/or make for better role-playing.
\par For example, if a GM wants to have a more detailed approach to Initiative and Defence calculation (e.g. it seems reasonable that a just-come-out-of-stun figure has more defence than that figure while they were s
tunned, but less than what it will be once they start a normal Action), there will be a impact on ease of play. Therefore it would be the responsibility of any GM who plays the combat rules differently from the rulebook to address the impact of stunned fi
gures within their modified system. For example, any optional Initiative system needs to state where in the Pulse stun recovery attempts occur.
