There is an extra recovery at the end of the first pulse of stun. The Guild Meeting occurred late as there was some delay getting a working key to the meeting hall from the Guild Custodian. 1) Notices The Guild Chairperson performed a ritual sacrifice ad concluded from the results that there would be less trouble in the East. Also he told the assembled that the quality of complaints this quarter have improved. It was pointed out that the Guild is now 20 years old. The Dark Circle is still pulsating around the border that it had last quarter. It may have shrunk slightly. Armed parties have gone down to Brasta to do the planting. 2) Adventures going out a) A Guild Rep - A bunch of adventurers require assistance to retrieve their gear as they lost it and want it back. William, Mt Eden. b) Daryl, a dwarf in his Sunday mining best. He's Brundar's cousin and told him that his mother's birthday is coming up and she wants him back. However, she's in a spot of bother so Brundar can bring a few friends to help sort it out, otherwise he may be attending her funeral. Gordon, low/competent, Mt Wgtn, Tuesdays. c) Gurth, a dwarf. Wants a party to find a fellow called Flintoff, or at least his diary. Last seen somewhere in an underground free trading drow city. Payment is guild rates plus 5000sp for Flintoff and 25000sp for his diary. Jeff (for Miles), Wednesday, Grafton. d) Mortimer. Has been working with a council of mechanicians in MMHS building a steam powered machine designed to build roads. Somehow they managed to lose it between there and Seagate. Some of the council members went looking for it and they're lost too although there may not be foul play involved. A note was received saying that money is not an objective and that cash rewards are limited, i.e. 1000sp. So Mortimer is adding 100 guineas to the pot. The machine is the size of a house and moves at a slow walking pace. It's current operational status is unknown. Martin, low/medium, Avondale, Thursdays. e) An adventure run by Jim was mentioned but no one knew anything about it. f) Guild Security - Want the situation between Destiny and Artzdorf/Flugelheim investigated to see what's going on. There has been no news from that area for a while. Struan, Tuesday. Overflow adventure with the possibility of solos. Place as appropriate. g) Flint, an adventurer. Has obtained a magical bag but, lately, things put inside in have been disappearing. Wants a party to investigate. The payment is also in the bag. Keith, Mangere Bridge, Mondays, Medium overflow. Awards 1) Stupidest Adventurer Braegon - While travelling in the desert they spotted some scouts and Braegon, as party leader, decided not to take them out. They were then attacked by a very large force. Vychan - he has the ability to summon an earth elemental and put it in his armour. However, if he leaves the ground, the elemental is released. While they were hiding out in a building with a runeportal nearby, a bird thing flew overhead and Vychan decided to go get it. That left an uncontrolled earth elemental in the area that proceeded to lay waste to everything around. Drum - Thorn has a collapsable fortress which can keep the party safe. Drum decided to sleep outside and was attacked by vampires. Brightflare - While in a fungal forest, where the air was full of flammable spores, Brightflare used a self immolate. Basalic - tested a suspicious Wall of Stone by stepping on it. Winner - Vychan 2) Smartest Adventurer Basalic - for tunnelling out the base of the tower where the harpies were and causing it to fall over. Ithilmor - The party were fighting a demon in a convent. Males in this convent are repeatedly attacked by magical fire at night. The demon was lured in the area and Ithilmor used a device to turn day into night. Winner - Ithilmor 3) Bravest Adventurer Adam/Silverfoam/Keisha/Grendal - for arranging not to be a 'fully functioning male' before the fight in the convent. Anathea - She was on a flying door, loaded down with several gallons of holy water. The door was set on a rapid collision course with the demon Cain and Anathea kept the door on course despite being attacked by a succubus. Winner - Anathea 4) Best Death Anathea - After crashing into Cain she was hauled out by a fellow adventurer. She had a trollskin on but was very badly damaged. She was picked up and flown towards the waiting healers. Unfortunately the flier wasn't very skilled and ended up crashing into a nearby tree. It was then that the trollskin wore off. Amand - The party were ambushed by goblins and Amand slowed them down by acting as a wall between them and the rest of the party. Winner - Anathea Meeting closed -- to unsubscribe notify mailto:dq-announce-request@dq.sf.org.nz --
