Subject[dq-announce] Gods meeting venue
FromKeith Smith

Since it is no longer possible to have Gods meetings at Mike's place, since
he has moved, I'd like people to have a think about where we could hold
future meetings. I'm offering our place, even though it's in South Auckland
and 15-20 min from the CBD. Does anyone have any other suggestions for
locations?

Also on the subject of Gods meetings, according to my records, the next
meeting will mark a year since we've had a quorum. Does this means that
there's hardly any interest in maintaining the system? Should we freeze the
rules as they are, produce an updated rulebook and leave it at that and
concentrate on the world itself? Or should we make an effort to keep going
the way we were?

Something to think about.

Keith.

hi there Keith

good questions - lets suspend the montly gods meetings for a while, say a
year or two. Do we even need the Meeting one week before the guild meeting =
few GMs/adventures come along to these, so the value appears slight to zero.
A quick get together 30 minutes before the guild meeting starts is all that
is required.

cheers Ian

I will not visit your household whilst your son is there, so your house is
not a suitable venue for me. I can talk this through with you off list if
you so desire.

Have you a list of rule changes that have been approved by the gods and
ready for inclusion in a new rule book? - just the headers would do for now.
If we haven't a list ready then I do not support making a new rule book.

I do not see the need for a new rulebook if we have not had a quorum for
over a year = no officially sanctioned changes are possible since the last
book, and I do not think rewrites for clarity should count.
I am aware of only one rule change has gained the endorsement of the gods -
recovery from stun at end of first pulse - which occurred at the last guild
meeting, and that hardly rates a new book - maybe an errata statement for
use as an attachment...

I played in a party employed by the Duke of Aladar to sort out some
problems during the war - I'm still trying to find the scribe notes... We
were very much on Aladar's side, but the Guild maintained a neutral stance.

IMHO the whole thing got really OTT - hordes of undead led by battalions of
vampires rampaging across the countryside...
