Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far. However we'd like more. We want rumours (they don't have to be absolutely true), gossip, stories etc to fill up the Rumour Mill. We want Quotes for the sidebars What's Hot and What's Not this session. and anything else printable you care to send our way. Just a reminder that it is the Guild Meeting this Sunday at 1pm. There will be the normal get together for GMs at 12:30 to discuss adventures going out and any queries/concerns. Also for those GMing this session to find adventures for themselves. Lets not get bogged down in a rules meeting otherwise we won't finish in time for the guild meeting. For those adventures going out which were not listed in the minutes, please post your intention or announcement in this forum, or let the Chair (Clare) know about it, and ideally turn up at 12:30 at Leicester Hall. Cheers, Stephen. > -----Original Message----- > From: Ian Wood & Ellen Hume & Adara Wood [SMTP:adara@ihug.co.nz] > Sent: Thursday, 7 June 2001 23:12 > To: dq-announce@dq.sf.org.nz > Subject: [dq-announce] gods on Sunday > > I have another meeting at 1 pm on Sunday, so unless there is a strong > indication by reply email that there will be 10+ gods turning up at 12 or > 12 > 30 on Sunday to discuss the Mind clarification (vote in as probationary > college or down for further work) then I shall skip the meeting. > > I hope everyone has a great time > > Ian > > PS - any suggestion to scrap the gods meetings for the next <insert time > frame, say two years> gets my vote. > > PPS - I feel the low number of approved rule changes means we should > circulate an errata or page Changes, rather than require people spend $10 > on > a complete new book. Stephen thanks for the clarification on the purpose of the meeting at 12.30 and 1.00 PM . <f> I take it that you are advising people not to turn up early to resolve the Mind college - thank you, I shall go to my other meeting. I was trying to be proactive - something apparently not encouraged in our small society - and get the project finalised. I am happy to enjoy every Sunday, waiting for a phone call to say that a quorum has formed at a (monthly) gods meeting, get in my car and come along. <g> Ian PS - see you second Sunday in September? -----Original Message----- From: Stephen Martin <stephenm@qed.co.nz> To: dq-announce@dq.sf.org.nz <dq-announce@dq.sf.org.nz> Date: Friday, 8 June 2001 11:30 Subject: [dq-announce] GUILD Meeting this Sunday >Just a reminder that it is the Guild Meeting this Sunday at 1pm. > >There will be the normal get together for GMs at 12:30 to discuss adventures >going out and any queries/concerns. >Also for those GMing this session to find adventures for themselves. > >Lets not get bogged down in a rules meeting otherwise we won't finish in >time for the guild meeting. > >For those adventures going out which were not listed in the minutes, please >post your intention or announcement in this forum, or let the Chair (Clare) >know about it, and ideally turn up at 12:30 at Leicester Hall. > >Cheers, Stephen. > >> -----Original Message----- >> From: Ian Wood & Ellen Hume & Adara Wood [SMTP:adara@ihug.co.nz] >> Sent: Thursday, 7 June 2001 23:12 >> To: dq-announce@dq.sf.org.nz >> Subject: [dq-announce] gods on Sunday >> >> I have another meeting at 1 pm on Sunday, so unless there is a strong >> indication by reply email that there will be 10+ gods turning up at 12 or >> 12 >> 30 on Sunday to discuss the Mind clarification (vote in as probationary >> college or down for further work) then I shall skip the meeting. >> >> I hope everyone has a great time >> >> Ian >> >> PS - any suggestion to scrap the gods meetings for the next <insert time >> frame, say two years> gets my vote. >> >> PPS - I feel the low number of approved rule changes means we should >> circulate an errata or page Changes, rather than require people spend $10 >> on >> a complete new book. We could have a 5 minutes "why not put the mind college clarifications into play-test" discussion at the pre-guild gods meeting, and if too much flak happens, drop it. Its up to Clare to judge the time and people, and what she wants on the agenda. That's why she's got the hammer this quarter. I agree. If people have put in the time and effort to create a document which will help the campaign, and it is ready to be put into play, then to not allow the five minutes to vote on it is stupid. Piss off enough people trying to make the game better and there won't be many left. Perhaps there should be a vote on what the "quorum" for gods meetings should be. I say we put the motion to playtest without discussion on the detail (as is unlikely to be practical to discuss in 20 minutes for the reasons given above). In playtest, GMs can refuse to play it if they feel strongly about it. Anyone who doesn't think that they have paid enough attention to have an informed opinion (and doesn't trust those that have paid attention enough to follow their lead) should abstain. playtest is hardly final, makes a more sensible set of write-ups available to all, and promotes thought amoung the apathetic. I just checked our booking and discovered that our booking starts at 1pm not 12:30 as I thought. This means that we do not have access to the building until 1pm. Assuming thats it's a normal sunny Auckland day this is no big deal. But I thought I should warn you as standing in the rain for half an hour isn't most peoples favourite occupation. Cheers, Stephen. -- to unsubscribe notify mailto:dq-request@dq.sf.org.nz -- |
