That beanpole whippersnapper of a reporter quoted me wrong. Well not wrong,
just not the complete story. Gave totally the wrong idea.

The discovery of a river of _lager_ - lager mind you, not beer - is indeed a
rare event. As such, steps should be taken to ensure proper respect is paid.
Dwarves running off on a whim, disresb.. .disr... not appreciating the
importance of the feature is just wrong. Dwarven authorities should
immediately regulate the area to ensure healthiness and continuing supply.
Dwarves so eager to run off would better spend their energy following the
example of Brastor, and work to clear Novadom and surrounds of Dark Circle
denizens. I've been doing my bit, thwarting Dark Circle assassination
attempts and what-not!

sign it 'WordSmith, Concerned Dwarf'

Right, lets get out of this guild pub where they serve crud, and have some
real beer at my pub... Hey why are you still writing, don't include that
last bit! Come here! Stop! [sound of running].

FromStephen Martin

Hey all,
I'm looking for someone who can invest Weapon of Flames. The higher the rank the better.

If you can help then please let me know as soon as you can, along with the highest rank you can
invest in one day and how much above the material costs you'll charge me.

Aryan, Kern,
Real fighters don't go around buying magic. Call yourselves warriors?
Try sharpening your steel and pointing it at the enemy.

Good Luck with getting your Master feat in magic-shopping.

Fondest Regards

Sir Christopher D'Abres.

I've got a hot new sword that flames nicely, gotta get it charged for playing with the undead.
It's so cool the way they pop when you hit them with the flames on.

But I'm still carrying my fine steel to deal with any living opponents.

And anytime you want to don some cold iron and do weapons training with plain steel, you can count
me in.

btw Someone told me the other day that it was you who killed Don Carlos and that you looked like
me when you did it. Care to explain?

Good Sir Christopher,
Some warriors would indeed stand without any magical aid and fight the
good fight but in these times of evil where we are fighting for our very
survival then we need to take the fight to the Dark Circle.

Strategic goals can be gained from the judicious use of magic in areas and
tactical advantages is more easily achieved when magic is applied to
formations and individuals to bolster their abilities. As a Military
Scientist I'm well aware of the need to match forces to our enemy rather
than head in underpowered and possibly weaker than our opposition and face
near certain defeat.

Warrior mages utilise their skills and abilites to their advantage and
against the evil magics / forces we need to apply equal magics to stand a
chance of holding the onslaught of Dark circle forces.

I know a large number of Western Kingdom knights have recently charged
into the Dark Circle forces with just their pure warrior skills and as we
have all read in the fine 'Seagate times' article titled 'Brastor
Liberated' been killed to a man.

Surely if we wanted such results of SAG groups then we'd be surely out of
members.

Regards
Sir Kern Silvercrest

Sure I killed King Carlos (may he live forever). I did it while
disguised as myself, which is why they've never suspected me. He
deserved it, what with his silly accent and his demon summoning. By the
way, I understand that you've got a silly accent now that you come from
Ebola & you dress like an elf. Done any demon summoning lately?

I'd love to "train" with you some day. I'm working down my list at the
moment, would you accept card #22? I'm currently stuck in the mid-teens.
Here's a beer until then.

So why did everyone think that I did it? Old news anyway, I'm not sure if I should avenge him or
not, he was going to be my liege lord (indirectly) if he'd lived another few months.
Maybe I could just smack you around a bit on the practice field and not quite avenge him as he
wasn't quite my leige lord.

What do you mean silly accent and dressing like an elf? Who told you that?
Just 'cos I don't wear the heavy plate any more so the elves don't out run me to the bad guys
every time, it doesn't make me less of a man. Snow-white leather is very manly!

I had meant train together, but if you want to "train" instead then that's cool. But we don't
have to be formal about it, we can just pop outside now. But we'd better get you a Trollskin
first, I have a bad habit of almost killing people in friendly duels.
If we get formal then we'd probably have to use our titles and have seconds and all the rest of
that crap that I hide out in the guild to get away from.

Healers have a technical term for people such as these; I beleive that
they call them "corpses". Rashak likes to refer to them as "new recruits".

And Sir Christopher, I would have expected that you would know that a
great many of the Necromancer's minions are not much affected by steel,
no matter how sharp and well pointed it may be. We're heading up to
D'Arbes... would you like us to inform your vassals that you have "died
valiantly", or will you arrange a letter to be sent in a few weeks?

before we loose too many to a silly fight, i think Flamis does an excellent weapon of flames, with added brightness or something that causes more damage to undead.

Isil Eth, me, can invest a scroll of Eldar Weapons, that embues about 6 weapons with enhanced damage against undead. I cannot quite remember the exact statistics.

Contact me off-list if you want one.

Happy hangover morning all,
I too need Weapons of Flame investeds for my battles in the Dark Circle / Blob.

(Don't you read your Seagate Times, gentlemen?)

That would be me, I think....

Investment at Rank 10, so that's what's available. If I remember rightly
Flamis charges 2000 sp per charge for Weapon of Flames, and 4000sp per
charge for Dragonflames. She will negotiate.

(250 x 10/2 = 1250 sp per charge for WoF to make so that allows for
mishaps... her base chance to invest is quite high)
(525 x 10/2 = 2525 sp for DF)

What do you want it in?
(I prefer to invest weapon of flames in a weapon or its sheath, and
dragonflames in a appropriately designed wand or amulet)

Flamis

(Flamis is going out on adventure this session, so things could be
complicated... depends on if it's reasonable that these be done before the
guild meeting)

I recommend her D-flames, especially when used in pairs (Ie each 'wing' person triggers across the opposition - central npcs get to resist two per pulse)

Weapon of flames makes a nice night-light.
