Time to send those articles in:

We're after the usual: news, rumours, articles, whats hot/not, quotes, etc
etc ...

And I hear on the rumours that the Dark Circle is no more .. we definitely
want articles about that especially for the lead article.

I found that writing my couple of paragraphs for DC training somewhat
generic when I had no idea what had happened on the DC front for the period
concerned.

How about a few sentences from the campaign committee now to give us a rough
idea?

I assume the implication of complete removal in the booze-up announcement
was from a narrow viewpoint!

Cheers
Errol

Subject[dq] Seagate Times - Dark Circle - Announcement
FromChris Caulfield
DateMon, 7 Mar 2005 14:13:14 +1300 (NZDT)
Hear Ye, Hear Ye I have News of the Dark Circle

The following is an exert of a General Notice filed by the Alliance
leadersip and passed to local press for distribution:

------------

The Dark Circle forces on the 9th of Breeze have been pushed back into
the West Bounders completely freeing Brastor and its surrounds for
re-settlement. The DC forces have been in retreat for some months now and
while still present in large numbers have been harried sufficiently that
they pose no offensive threat.

Captain Charles Wallace of the Seacroft Lancers Regiment was quoted as
saying "We have the blighters on the run and they have scuttled back in
the direction they've come from. Our troops are doing sterling work and
decimating their forces whenever we can find them, jolly good show too!"

Another unnamed source stated that "We are finding it difficult to
locate any sizable forces as we advance but are mopping up smaller less
organised mobs of un-dead and other troops as we find them"

The help provided by the SAG has been gratefully acknowledged by the
Duke and he will be talking to the guild leadership in due course for
suitable ways to thank the guild.

The DC has been substantially reduced in all areas and has shrunk
considerably and Boris Cromorian (the Chancellor-Designate of the
prestigious ‘Academy’), the noted philosopher has stated "After long
research these past few months the Dark Circle of today is a mere shadow
of its once great size. The combined efforts of the alliance forces
have reduced it to a small dark dot on the Alusian Continent which shows
signs of further shrinkage with continued Alliance Military actions in
the Brastor area. I can stake my reputation on it when I say that soon
the Dark Circle will be a historical reference for study, only important
to scholars like me when I take up the esteemed position of Chancellor
to the Academy"

This reduction is a direct result of the actions of the war weary
Carzalan forces, strategic successes of the Alliance forces, offensive
actions by the Five Sisters army and a rumoured apparent withdrawal of
support by the majority of the Sea of Grass, Plains Barbarians.

More news will be related once details are to hand
