It has recently been raised that we are unsure who is on the grvance
tribunal.

The campaign commitee (Mandos, Andrew, Martin, Ian and Chris) and the
character Tribunal (Mandos, Ian and William) we know but not the grevance
tribunal.

Currently Ian and William believe they may be on it but cannot remember. If
anyone can remember could they let people know and if not can we collect
volenteers to ensure we do have one and we know who it is :-)

Subject[dq-announce] Minutes from the Guild Meeting - Autumn 05
FromKeith Smith
DateTue, 15 Mar 2005 10:55:04 +1300
Seagate Adventurer's Guild
Guild Meeting Minutes
1st Fruit 805WK

0) Pre Meeting Notes
A proposal was tabled for a scalable award for scribe notes to encourage
them to be written. It was suggested 100-150xp per night based on accuracy
and usefulness.

Vote on thief to enter the rules - Failed (5/8/2)
Vote to force the new thief into compulsory playtest - Passed (11/0/3)
Thief is also to be workshopped this session.

Unfortunately no record in previous minutes was found on the status of Spy,
but I believe the last move was to have that in playtest.

1) Adventures going out.

Before the adventures were announced, there was a proclamation from Guild
Security that Loxi be awarded Smartest Adventurer. Hence the Smartest
Adventurer award was renamed the 'Not as Smart as Loxi' award. However,
because of security reasons, it could not be stated what the reason for
this was.

a) Petro Osgood. His family has their home in Brastor and, now the area has
been liberated from the Dark Circle, want their holdings cleaned out. Also
want to find the last resting place of an uncle that was left behind. Six
adventurers are needed. Ben, Low, Thursdays, Royal Oak/Three Kings.

b) A barbarian from offplane. Seeks help cleansing demons from a swamp and
recapturing a bridge. Zane. Low/med, Fridays, Ponsenby

c) Guild Security. Two of them came in carrying a cage with a shrivelled
husk of a being who loudly proclaimed 'We have succeeded in accessing the
Gates of the Dead. You're all DOOMED" before lapsing into maniacal
laughter. Guild security explained that the cage and contents were sent
here from Rashak - with postage due. They want this matter investigated and
double guild rates are being paid.. William, High, Tuesdays, Place:tba
.
d) California Smith. Wants a party to explore another Paolithica portal.
For some reason Guild parties only seem to be able to do one portal at a
time. Payment is standard guild rates. Jacqui. Low/medoum, Tuesdays,
Mangere Bridge.

e) Owen and Fred. Things have been seen in Paradise and they want to know
who or what they are sharing the valley with.. Can pay in trade or magical
items. Helen, Any level, Mondays, West Harbour.

Overflows are being run by Gordon and Jono.

Awards

1) The Not as Smart as Loxi award.
There being no nominations, it was decided to give this to Loxi as well.

2) Bravest
Silverfoam - When the entire group was transported to the 666th level of
Hell, and their magic was being stripped off them while demons were
attacking, Silverfoam was the last one leaving by Banishment.

Talon - While in the lowest level of the Dark Tower, the rest of the party
were killing their way towards the Dark Lieutenant while he was doing a
ritual. Talon, did an end-run around the fight and managed to pour Waters
of Gaia on the sacrificial victim, disrupting the ritual, before being killed.

Winner - Silverfoam

3) Stupidest
Dirk - losing his skin they were using for skin changes, when he wasn't
wearing it.
Tussock - having the same plan a second time that didn't work the first time
Bainbridge - Wandering off down to the next level of the tower and getting
pasted.
Robert - Was interrogating a rabbit with mind magics and managed to scare
it so much that it became infected with the local Dark Essense. It became
vorpal and attacked him.
Neroli - Abandoning Bainbridge and Lizette, leaving them to rot in jail.

Winner - Robert

4) Best Death
Talon - for the aforementioned end-run.
Kern - Charged towards a keep to fight the defenders - and was whirlwind
vortexed at the doorway.

Winner - Kern

No nominations for Star of Alusia

Meeting Closed.

Spy was voted into playtest in December 02 (I have the email I sent to
Mandos telling him this).
It is clear from discussions in June 04 that neither Spy or Thief had been
voted into the Rules when we compiled the 2004 Rules.
I noted in a private email in mid-Dec 04 that no changes had been voted on
after the ones in the June 2004 Rules.
Nothing in the minutes since Dec 02 is exactly what we would expect to see
if there had been no more formal votes.

Cheers
Errol

Subject[dq] Corrections to: Minutes from the Guild Meeting - Autumn 05
From
DateTue, 15 Mar 2005 11:55:41 +1300
Dear All,
here are two corrections to the Minutes. I accept the fault is mine as Chair, for not ensuring a clear copy was kept of what was voted on. The Scribe Note is inaccurate, and the Thief wording gives an unintended slant. As chair i state the following was adopted:

Thief:

Thief was voted into compulsory playtest, so requiring all thieves to convert to the proposed skill, and GMs to use it in their games. Conversion to and use of the rules will ensure adequate playtest, informed feedback and hopefully rapid development and conclusion.

Rewards For Scribe Notes:

Ian Wood will put forward a suggestion on DQ-discussion for development. The suggestion includes several standards of excellence. Range of reward is 100 EP per night, plus up to an additional 150 EP per night for excellence (brevity, comprehension, accuracy, timeliness, regularity of circulation, structure etc).

Could people please take a few minutes to go through the online character
database and make sure any adventures they have run or been on in the past
few years are there. I have just been trying to add in the awards
information and in most of the cases the characters or the adventures they
were on are not listed.

It only takes a few minutes each quarter to ensure your character is kept up
to date.

Please also ask your GM to make sure the details of your games this season
are entered.

The Database can be accessed from www.dragonquest.org.nz

Subject[dq] Players Please
FromJacqui Smith

I currently have four players for the Tuesday night medium level game I am
running. I could use a couple more if anyone is interested and did not get
a game at the Guild meeting.

This is an exploration mission in the Portals of Paleolithica series- the
employer is California Smith. Guild rates plus looting priviledges.
