Last night whilst Mental Attacked, and thus with some time on my paws, I wa=
s=20
looking up the integration of triggering into the combat sequence.

In Investment and in Magic whilst Triggering is mentioned, it isn't=20
specifically stated whether Triggering is a Pass (magical) action or a Cast=
=20
action. In Combat Triggering isn't mentioned at all.

The only staement that might have bearing (to my mind) is:
"The effects of a triggered spell are as if the caster were standing there=
=20
casting the spell, the triggering entity is not considered the caster."

The reason the clarification is needed is of course whether you can move=20
(albeit only 2 hexes) whilst triggering on not.

So rather than proposing one or the other (because I could live with either=
)=20
I ask what do people think it should be.
1) Triggering is a Cast action (can change facing but may not move)
2) Triggering is a Magical Pass action (can change facing and move two hexe=
s=20
{further modified by Agility})

TTFN, Struan.

I have always played and always seen played that Trigger is equivalent to the Cast action.

Cheers, Stephen.

Ditto.

Also, according to current rules (3.8 - Pass Actions), it is expressly
not a magical pass action - they are : Prepare Spell, Actively Resist,
Concentrate.

And we don't want to make triggering even better than spell casting as a
combat option do we?
