This is only the character's membership agreement, not the adventuring=20
contract.

I've had a look through my stuff and can't find a copy either.

Jono, You might have to draw up a new one : - )

Sounds good to me - scanning should be good.
If you can not put a link up as a pdf from the wiki - I could do so if you
wish.

Just remember that under NZ law even if you use a Psudonoms, it is still a
legal and binding document.

So you really can sue your party leader/members for breach of contract. LOL

The past couple(? more) of years Stephen has kindly wrestled with
officialdom to do the bookings, and announced the result at about this time.

So this would be the planned date, not yet confirmed.

Cheers

ah, teh heady days of nostalgia.

whilst i am not unmoved by Mark's suggestion, i wonder if we have moved on from that space.

Also, parking is impossible at the university, most places smell, teh accoustics are terrible and the coffee is appalling. And there are youngsters about. Doing immoral things with books.

The membership agreement has all the stuff about playing nice, the adventuring agreement was not
much more than a list of character names, session, adventure etc.

We dropped this years ago as pointless paperwork that hardly anyone was even using anymore.

Why do you want it?

Cheers, Stephen.

I wanted to look at it to see if it has any formal way of characters noting
items that they wanted over other items.

I was aware that it was seldom used and often GMs did not have an agreement,
as they where often used up (filled out). I think that it may be of use and
should either go on the wiki or in the next GM Guide Dec 2011.

There was no formal way. As I recall the few times it happened we just wrote it down on the back
of the agreement.

Cheers, Stephen.

Good solid points there Ian, though I suspect the particularly poor
acoustics, odours, and coffee that stick in the mind were the result of
the occasions that our barely-affliatedness and sometimes lack of
organisation meant that we lost our fight with the custodians and were
banished to the Quad.

I don't think anyone wants to return to *that*.

However, as a rancid as the atmosphere might be it is the wellspring of
all things DQ-esque to my understanding, so maybe we shouldn't be so
hard on the old place. Or at least on those who currently dwell there.
As far as introductions to roleplaying go, DQ is the equivalent of
learning to drive in a demolition derby; there seems to be fairly high
attrition rate and while those that make it are pretty unshakeable, they
are prone to causing mayhem. It is an advantage to have the rough edges
knocked off one first.

Okay, that's a terrible metafur, but as an AMERICA Alumni (not the
academic facility, they wouldn't have me back without judicious
bribery) I have to agree with Mark on this point. If proximity isn't
the answer, maybe an outreach program?

Besides, everyone crosses their fingers when they sign those things, right?

Outreach sounds good. Similar to the French concept of outremer? Oh, you
missed out the "of" in your word. Ooops.

Um, I am not 'against' going there, sigh, and certainly the AMERICA bit is
good, and I am all for all relations with the club and its denizens, it is
just that, has anyone parked there recently? As a curiosity, is there
parking (as in spaces without a current occupant) available? Maybe I should
just accept the need to cough up $4 an hour. Or car pool or take public
transport (hey don't knock it, I have had my shots for going to Africa so I
feel moderately safe). Some still hurt actually. Hmm, that rabies shot is
more valuable than I thought.

But, and here is the crux, do we want more players? After all, recent guild
meetings were dominated by those that did not want a game, or somehow failed
to sign up for a pre-filled game. We have our cliques, we play in them, feel
comfortable within our little circles of knitting needle clickers, so why
the need for new blood? And who is going to run games for those that do not
have a clique? Or for a jaded player who wants to spice up their stake DQ
life with a little non-clique affair?

HMMMM, maybe some youth is just what the pallet needs...
