This message is in MIME format. Since your mail reader does not understand this format, some or all of this message may not be legible. ------_=_NextPart_001_01C64091.AB300788 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" OK, looks like a reasonable level of support for nixing the add-on costs. We can vote on this on Sunday. There seems to be differences of opinion on what the add-ons covered. I think some more guidance for GMs would be useful, and perhaps we want to specify a rank you can set ropes up for others so they don't kill themselves when they slip. I've set up a Wiki page with the current skill, and how it would look if I just took the add-on abilities away. http://www.dragonquest.org.nz/dqwiki/index.php/Climbing_Rewrite If someone with more knowledge would like to draft something more useful up, that would be cool. Hi all, To let GMs in on what I am currently doing; As some of you know Jaquie and I feel that they is a weakness with the Healer as an Arch-type in the game. I have put into play a couple of 'Titan Belts of Healing' which will last for two years. I wish to see a few more go into play so that there is a large enough sample pool to view. The belts let healers heal in combat as a action. For more info please see: http://www.dragonquest.org.nz/dqwiki/index.php/Titan_Belt_of_Healing I wish to see how this affects the game, and if its no good then let it die a quite death. If GMs see these belts in use over the next couple of years and have a view please send me feedback. Thanks in advance Jonathan Bean Business Development Manager TME -it's all about time NZ Toll Free 0800 55 33 66 Aust Toll Free 1800 30 51 75 021 173 4060 www.tme.co.nz -- to unsubscribe notify mailto:dq-request@dq.sf.org.nz -- |

This message is in MIME format. Since your mail reader does not understand this format, some or all of this message may not be legible. ------_=_NextPart_001_01C640AD.A2591ACA Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" I'm re-posting my list from Friday to check if anyone has any further comments (as last weeks comments all flowed from Zane's response). Regarding the darts, the change from pulse to action in the note looks OK (no one has suggested that you shouldn't be able to do whatever you can do twice as fast while quickened). I don't think I can add anything else useful to the rulebook at this point regarding number of hands etc (which is a pity because people seem reluctant to use this 'special feature' in practice). Cheers Errol -----Original Message----- From: Errol Cavit [mailto:ecavit@tollnz.co.nz] Sent: Thursday, 2 March 2006 13:07 To: dq-announce@dq.sf.org.nz Subject: Re: [dq-announce] Guild Meeting Sunday 12th March - Rules Votes > > Voting Issues > Extracted from http://www.dragonquest.org.nz/dqwiki/index.php/Found_Issues <http://www.dragonquest.org.nz/dqwiki/index.php/Found_Issues> Things I want specific confirmation of: 1.Re-write to give Weaponsmiths discount on cost of silvering etc, and cost formula per http://www.dragonquest.org.nz/dqwiki/index.php/Silvering_Change <http://www.dragonquest.org.nz/dqwiki/index.php/Silvering_Change> 2.Take references to rank-based limits for Control Weather off the Weather Table. (If anyone wants to write a proposal to introduce rank-based limits to the effects possible with Control Weather, feel free to do so). 3.A beefed-up warning for Rune College. 4.Time taken for learning Claws and Ropes for Climbing. I suggest 2 weeks and 1 week. 5.Ignore December's vote re Alternate Spec Grev table. General note re alternative rules/tables should be in other documents (or the Rulebook intro if we had one). If someone wants to do some design notes/suggestions for any tables, we can include them. 6.Clarifications (that might be thought rule changes) Namers get to learn (as well as rank higher than rk1) names in their extra training slot. Golem Statistics. Change MA: 0 to MA: None to reflect text of rituals Stream of Corruption (S-14) reword Shaping Flesh Golems (R-4) Add sentence saying that they are sentient (to match given MA of 0) Spy, Clarify that get to choose an optional ability at Rank 0 Armourer says that Weaponsmiths get EP discount, should also be stated in Weaponsmith Weapons Table, Note F s/be can throw 3 darts (at up to 3 targets) per Action, not pulse. Note there are various things on the Found issues page that are suggested changes, and I'm NOT putting forward to be voted on, or put in the Rulebook. There are also many minor fixes that I will schedule out at a later stage so people can check I haven't inadvertently changed a rule by e.g. moving a comma or using clearer sentence construction.
