hi Jono,

can you also put up a smaller version, for those of us who would like to see it but not download 500kb over a satellite link :-)

the earlier one was 96kb, which is kinda more than i wanted to download, but hey, cant seem to wait till i am home on NZ's version of broadband.

It may be, on your notes below, that it would be good to have several versions of the maps (witrh different layers turned on) so that GMs can use what is required for their games.

anyways, interesting discusssion

er, what i meant to write was:

once we have agreed on a map, that several versions of that be loaded onto the wiki, with different layers switched on for each version:
terrain +towns;
terrain + towns + roads;
terrain + towns + roads + cultivated areas (or is that part of terrain?)
Terrain + towns + range bands + soft feilds, the landing therein for

perhaps this is exactly what you meant, and i am a bit slow. I blame the lack of warmth, as we havent reached true summer yet, and the temperature is already down to 47 degrees in the shade (it being 5 pm).

Not with any easy. It would need to have all the fonts changed in size, and location as when we lower the scale or DPI of the file area, they become unreadable. To get around this youneed larger fonts which means moving their locations and size.

yes the size of the maps from the old one to the new one is large.
The new ones are aimed at A4 not 6 cm by 10 cm.

Bet you would be keen on high ranks of Weather Control about now ;-)

All of this seems do-able.
