I've started a Wiki page with the intention of detailing, or at least providing some information about the various portals that are known to be around the place. Could GMs please add in details about the ones they use? I know there's a portal to MMHS but I'm not sure where the end points are ... and I'm sure there are others out there ,,, There is also a section on the location on Alusia of interplanar portals (those going offplane) Keith. -- to unsubscribe notify mailto:dq-request@dq.sf.org.nz -- |

And I am certain that there is not a portal to Elfenburg, at least not one we want known about... There is plenty of other info there that isn't widely known by guild members, but is potentially useful for GMs. I've linked that page to the existing general comments about Inter-planar travel. It is common knowledge amongst the magic-using classes in MMHS that creating a portal inside MMHS is as highly illegal as attempting to fly over the city (just not as fatal). Both are serious breaches of security - something the city, it merchants, & its nobles take seriously. Therefore there are NO public portals into the city; and any *hypothetical* portals are either in the hands of *discrete*, trusted individuals whose worth or devotion is well known to the State, or else in the hands evil criminals who are highly motivated in enforcing their own secrecy on a "Don't-need-to-know" basis. Before any guild character starts blabbing about non-existent portals, they should pause & consider whose interests they would be hurting, or who would be interested in hurting them. Well I checked my notes from adventures I was on and it turned out it wasn't MMHS, but Elfenburgh. Ooops. Also, apparently, there's one to the Lunar Empire and other that goes from Elfenburgh to Gracht. Basically I'm looking for information on public portals, even if you have to pay to use them. And thanks for the info on MMHS - I never knew that. But, that's one reason for having the wiki, so that such information can be shared. I sit, well reclined in a befuddled and jet-lag anticipating way, corrected.
