What is a good criteria for possession or passenger ? The ability to actively resist has drawbacks as stunned people cannot do so. Are unconscious or stunned PCs posessions? Are coherent Pcs passengers? "Look upon this sap as your saviour" thwack! But that said, middle of a fight, an unconcious or stunned PC, I'd also let the party grab them and windwalk out of there to escape, because it is appropriate theatre for them to do so. Just not to exceed limits of the spell or transport 100 skinchanged mice slaves or something.
