Not quite to the first part and yes to the second.

One has to hope that the GM granting the master work 9 &10 has the forsight
enough to provide an NPC trainer or someone of same rank to train with on
the master work location, if you do it solo.

Because unless you can find a guild member with the required rank to train
with who is willing to take the 2+ months out to train with you, there is no
teacher at the guild.
You could be stuck with the master work done but unable to do the  training
for sometime, for lack of a trainer or training partner.

Why do you think guild members tend to get master warrior ranks in groups,
and/or spend months away from the guild studing with master warriors having
been tested and found worthy by that mentor or his patron.

Correct me if I am wrong

but does this mean for rank 9 warrior you need to stay where you got the
Master work or find a guild member willing to take 9 weeks off to train with
you?
