Hi all,

I and a few other GMs have been putting together a source book for Carzala.
I have put the
The URL for the PDF is here <http://www.savefile.com/files/1377241>. The
booklet (18MB PDF file) is intended for both GMs and Players in DQ.

It is intended as a printed resource, so that it can be used quickly and
easily at run time in game. It is intended to offer details and depth to the
'geo-political areas of Carzala' such as more powerful individuals, figures
or families or clans. This is so that GMs can be more comfortable running
games which may involve political elements designed to create tension for
characters. It is also intended that the information in this booklet is, for
the most part, common knowledge within the greater Carzala area. It should
be accessible for characters (with the appropriate skills or knowledge), so
that the player can gain some insight into the 'depth of the Carzala
geo-political arena'. This will support the player's ability to play the
character.
I think and hope I have come to the end of writing the Carzala document. I
will print you out a double sided copy on A4 for you to inspect.

Process that I want to follow from here is:

Put out PDF document and printed copies for GM review (Sat 16th of Feb).

   - Allow a week for GMs to read it and make notes.(16th to 23rd Feb)
   - Get everyone together on the 23rd for coffee/tea at my place at 31
Methuen Road at 10am till 12noon.
   - Review face to face what changes are needed for it to be game and GM
   friendly.
   - Aim to have those changes fixed on Sat the 23rd Feb.
   - Have the new PDF and booklet ready for review between the 23rd and
until the 11th of March 2008.
   - Vote the booklet into play at the Gods meeting on the 11th of March
   2008.
   - Once voted in (if acceptable), we will add the content to the DQ
wiki so that the two sources remain the same.

Kind regards,

Jonathan Bean

Er....

a) I have other commitments on Saturday mornings
b) Keith is running a Saturday afternoon game, and uses the morning for setup

I imagine that others have similar problems.

It might be useful to find out whether a date and time is suitable
for as many interested persons as possible before presenting it as a
fait accompli.

If its just Carzala "facts", and lots of GMs have read/written it, then
it's just campaign background, and no vote is needed. If it's complete
rubbish (very very unlikely), then people will ignore it or change it on
the wiki. Otherwise, it just is.

No Gods meeting, no vote. After your final proofing on 23rd, just put the
contents going on the wiki. People will then edit anything that needs
tweaking, anyway.
