We don't have a cost for most skills, although there are indications for a
couple of professions, I think.

We do have living/household costs for people of different social standing.
You can find the category for the appropriate skill (e.g. master artisan),
look at their living costs add a bit on, and call that the cost for hiring
an NPC. A one-day hire would usually have a bigger per diem that a long-term
contract.

This should give you a ball-park figure. If you don't like the result, you
can always change it!

Regards

Andrew

Subject: [dq] NPC Costs.

Something I've noticed in poking about is that we have no guideline on costs
for hiring an NPC of X rank for a Day/Week/Season. While costs like this
are always going to be up to exact GM whim, would it help to have a basic
guideline chart for how much it will cost. So that GM's at least have a
figure to start with & then adjust according to circumstance?

Or have I just missed it somewhere in one of the three books.
