How about a plan to reconstitute all the ash and gas in to a single enormou=
s sized statute? Tradition suggest an enormous horse of some sort=2C but an=
ything with their arm flung out in a Nazi salute looks good as well.
Pretending to be roving bands of artists=2C adventures could be paid not to=
enact the ritual which would either re-integrate some particularly annoyin=
g godling block out the sun locally=2C or sink under its own weight in to t=
he earth=2C thus cracking the crust or setting off earthquakes etc.

Laki... not an especially violent eruption... about a Mt St Helens or so...=
but it was the eruption that kept on giving.... for EIGHT whole months - i=
t killed two million people world-wide through crop failures and famines. =
Now=2C we don't necessarily need to go that far... but... sounds like plent=
y for adventurers to do.
