This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0357_01CB7493.5CF97D20 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi folks, As most of you might know I'm involved with BattleCry which runs every = year during February. 2011 it's over the weekend of the 19th and 20th of = February. It's held at the ASB Stadium in Kohimarama, beside Selwyn = College. The roleplaying part of BattleCry is run in a series of classrooms on = the Selwyn College, right next door to the Stadium and we run a range of = systemed and systemless games. I've mentioned it a few times but I wondered if the Guild would like to = advertise itself to roleplayers (and other gamers) at the next = BattleCry? If there was a way to run a short 3 to 4 hour self contained game, = either using a simplified version of DQ, or a systemless game set in the = Alusia world... and run as an introduction to DQ and the Guild to give = people a taste of what DQ and the Guild is all about... there would be = people willing to play and give it a try. This year's event had between 25 to 40 roleplayers playing at different = times over the weekend... We usually run morning sessions from 9am to 1pm, and afternoon sessions = from 2pm to 6pm... If anyone is interested in giving this a go, or would like to just run = an information table over the BattleCry weekend... please let me know. Regards, Karen P.S. This Saturday (30th October) there is a Collectors Fair and Hobbies Expo = happening at the Freeman's Bay Community Hall. Freeman's Bay Community Hall, Hepburn Road, Freeman's Bay. Down the hill = from Ponsonby Road, heaps of parking nearby. 11am to 3pm $5 Entry fee (all primary aged kids free with an adult) The list of things listed in the flyer includes models from the = matchbox, corgi, dinky, lledo, hot wheels, diecast models, meccano, = model trains, toy soldiers, kit sets, tv themes, star wars, = intergalactic, batman, dr who, McDonalds toys, etc etc... I have booked a free club stand space, to hold an information table = about CityGuard, BattleCry, the America club and any other associated = clubs... I was thinking of putting out a wargaming terrain table, and = setting up some terrain and minis, and a couple of board games, a RPG = book or two and some Magic CCG cards just for show... and use part of = the table as the stand, and the other half for the display. If there are flyers for the DQ Guild, and someone can get them to me at = work(King of Cards) during this week I can have them on our stand to = share in spreading the word... ------=_NextPart_000_0357_01CB7493.5CF97D20 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3DISO-8859-1" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META name=3DGENERATOR content=3D"MSHTML 8.00.6001.18975"> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff text=3D#000000><!--[if !mso]><![endif]--><!--[if = !mso]><![endif]--> <DIV><FONT size=3D2 face=3DArial>Hi folks,</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2 face=3DArial></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2 face=3DArial>As most of you might know I'm involved = with=20 BattleCry which runs every year during February. 2011 it's over the = weekend of=20 the 19th and 20th of February.
