The status of the corpse is still unknown.

But before you browse any further or clear your cache, if you have browsed the wiki recently
the pages may still be in your cache, saving them could make recovering lost data much easier
if it comes to that.

An easy way to check your cache and recover them:
1 - Set your browser to Work Offline (File Menu)
2 - Use your usual shortcut to the wiki or pick the pages from your History.
If the pages open then they've been hauled out of your cache, I suggest you save them locally.
If they don't then they're not in your cache.

Happy St Pats Day

Cheers, Stephen.

Hi stephen,

Is there anything we as a group can do to help or assist you in fixing the
wiki.

If there is please let us know.
Ta for the update on the wiki being down for a period.

Kind regards,
Jono

The wiki server won't re-start any more.

Ranged DA through the Crystal of Vision is still not working, probably need
a full 3-hour
Ancient Divination.

We're working on recovering the server to see if it's heal-able and worst
case to loot the
corpse to see what we can recover from the drives.

I'm also speeding up the process on the replacement.

Absolute worst case is that we've lost all updates since about 2 months ago
(keep those recent
print-outs) and we'll be off line for a couple of weeks.
Best case is something better than that.

I'll let you know more when I know more.

Cheers, Stephen.

Anyone with experience installing Ubuntu Server on an IBM x336 with Hardware RAID, your advice
and phone number would be appreciated.

If Ubuntu fails then it'll be CentOS which should be fine as RHEL is an IBM supported OS for
the x336.

I have no experience, but I wouldn't mind standing on the sidelines and
cheering. I'd be interested in seeing how it is put together.

I've installed Unbuntu Server on 5 boxes so far and found the most
recent release an almost painless process.

I have no idea if there are any IBM x336 specific issues (without
resorting to Google)
