Subject[dq] Proposals for Water Co0llege spells
Fromphaeton@slingshot.co.nz

Something that came up in our game last night is, how high does the Geyser's
created by the Geyser spell (Water S4) go, in order to affect anything flying
above those hexes. The actual geyser spouts could go higher but we were
talking about the height below that which actually causes damage. Our ruling
was 10ft + 2/rank and we'd like to propose that be added to the next rule
revision.

The other thing that came up is whether or not Summon Aquatics can summon
sentient aquatic species. Should they get a saving throw? Currently it says
Resist:None.

Thanks,

Keith

Isn't Summon Aquatics the wet equivalent of Summon Beasts of Summon Avians?
All of which are environment based sub-sets of animal summoning... and
exclude sentients.

He probably just means fantastical, not sentient.

No, he means sentient. Summon Animals is target animal. Summon avians is
target avians and summon aquatics is target aquatics, ie anything in the
category. Summon avians is resistable and gives fantastical a resistance
bonus while s. animals and s. aquatics are resist: none.
Summoning creatures of light/dark specifies non-sentient.

For goodness' sake, just change it so that they have a resistance,
maybe + 20 if fantastical, and then stop thinking about it.
