Subject[dq] SGT time again
FromJacqui Smith

Hello, fellow adventurers!

It's that time of the season again - and I'll be editing this issue. You
can send contributions directly to me at flamis@slingshot.co.nz
(Please send in plain text, .rtf or .doc format - I don't do .docx)

Time to get working on those contributions. You'll get paid in EP, (at
2EP per word rounding up, so 500 words nets you 1000 EP) and if you
contributed part of an ongoing series last time you'll get a 500 EP
bonus this time. I'm also thinking about an EP bonus for appropriate
pictures - which should in black and white and preferably line drawings
matching the current style of the SGT.

Scribes should start writing up your adventure reports now, even if
you're not finished. Even a one or two paragraph summary would be
appreciated, and makes a nice bonus to your scribing XP for not a lot of
work.

Don't forget the classifieds - anything to sell?

Remember, it's your contributions that make it a great Seagate Times.

Jacqui

thanks Jacqui

I am not sure i like the 2/word ep reward. I worry it will lead to boringly long winded stories.

how about two paragraphs and two one-paragraph PC highlights (nominations) gets you 500 ep. That is less than 100 words.
I really want pith, something i can scan, rather than wade through.

those that want more can read the scribe notes on the wiki.

i posted this openly as others will see it differently...
but i dont want a full debate, just positions.
Jacqui - you are the editor, and i accept your final decisions, merely saying my preferences...

cheers,
Ian

Subject[dq] Character Updates WAS: [dq] SGT time again
FromIan Wood

I wonder if some brief updates on PCs and NPCs would be intersting?

some one-liners or one-paragraphs describing significant changes or milestones.

EG
Vychan is no longer pacted to Seir.
Dramus is currently pacted to (long list)

Neddy is now Rank 5 Healer.
Sir Wojer is now an Air Mage.

simple and i know redundant due to the wonderful wiki and character introductions, but hey it is nice to be part of a guild of people...

cheers Ian

It's not caused a problem so far. However, excessive long-windedness
would lead to editorial cuts, and I only award ep for what I "print".

Have you seen the recent SGT issues?

Jacqui
