Shouldn't the giant versions of weapons (Giant Club, Spear, Axe etc) be included in the Warrior weapon categories? I believe they should be for all our giant wanna-be warriors. Keith -- to unsubscribe notify mailto:dq-request@dq.sf.org.nz -- |

--001a11c2ae7643f7f404ed101e94 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 You mean that a giant could know a wider range of weapons than any other player race? There is no giant weapon that is not paired against a normal weapon of its kind, which doesn't sound right, somehow. Leaving aside the practical issues of how a giant weapon might be wielded differently than a normal weapon, it has always seemed to me that, in fact, you Rank a battle axe and if you're a giant, you can wield either a battle axe or a giant axe. All of the giant weapons have the same experience costs as the normal weapon against which they are paired. I agree that this is not how the rules read, but then it's not as if these rules were ever very sensibly put together as evidenced by our frequent amendments of them. Of course, if our Confused Peasant were to make a submission of change to the rules, and then play test it for a mere decade, then the way would be clear for humans and hobbits to be entered as weapons in the weapons table, with an appropriate Experience cost entry pertaining thereunto. Sorry, other entities count as Crude Club and the guild does not allow training in it. But if a person interested in such sport were to make themselves known in the Hills of the Halfborn a week before Equinox... PS Halflings have quite a different balance to the average human and need to be ranked independently. If you can, ask your friendly Drow arms merchant for 'Weaponsmithed' halflings, they have been bred for better balance and a more aerodynamic swing. Giant weapons are not in v2 Warrior and were not considered one way or the other for v3. IMO The Giant sized version of the weapon should be in the same category as the standard sized equivalent. Can't see any reason to exclude them. Would also make sense to drop Giant Weapons altogether and just have some sort of size based modifier that would work for Giants, Ogres, Trolls, Titans, ... Joking and ambiguous wording aside, the current wiki page on Skills and Weapon Training allows training in Crude Club (it being on the standard Weapons list/chart/table, and having EP costs to rank 2) - at least that is my reading. Sorry to kill the mood, but I'd rather casual statements in email threads didn't get fixed in people's minds.
