Fire Mages are primarily crippled by their choice of college and penchant for burning themselves and perfectly good inns. But that's nothing new. Observations are beginning to indicate that fire magic, spells/rituals with fire in the name, and even everyday 'non-magical' fires are just not as hot as normal. Nothing to really worry about, just a minor annoyance that's bound to pass. Probably just the cooks, smiths, and fire mages making excuses for their incompetence. Cheers, Stephen. --001a1135eac2b964e7050a5e133e Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable These issues with fire are but the first signs of global cooling, brought about by magic use, drawing emanations of mana from Alusia. Finally, our excessive dependence on sorcery on the like has led to a situation where even the basic elements of life are beginning to dwindle. We should arrange a meeting of all stakeholders and introduce an Emanations Trading Scheme to ration the use of mana in an equitable way to maintain our respective economies while a way is found to minimise or reverse the problem. This is blatant scaremongering by greedy merchants preying on the fears of the uneducated. If we are indeed in a time of change which has not been established to the standards of the MMHS Philosophical Association, it is quite clear that this minor change is part of the natural cycles of the world. On proper investigation it will certainly become clear that these minor fluctuations have happened before and will no doubt happen again. Darkness is coming... It's all very well to talk about the MMHS Philosophical Society, and indeed all they do is talk, but shouldn't we instead be taking rash and precipitous action?! Shouldn't we be getting rid of those mages most responsible for the cold?! When the great cooling leads us into the depths of Fimbulwinter it'll be too late to kill all the Ice Mages!
